New in Office 365 this October

Microsoft has introduced a range of updates and features over the past two months designed to help you work more efficiently, collaborate with your teammates with ease and be more proactive about your data security.  Check out what’s new within the Microsoft 365 suite this month.

Yammer updates

The conversation experience for Yammer mobile has been improved in the last month so you can now connect in easier ways.  A new card-based design sharpens content, making it easier to read and preview.  As well as this, a new grid layout for docs and images make it easier to preview and engage with multiple images or files.

PowerPoint updates

Microsoft has now introduced the ability to share individual PowerPoint slides instead of having to send an entire slideshow.  You can now send a slide deck with a link to a specific slide within PowerPoint for the web.  As well as this, PowerPoint has taken some steps in helping those of us with public speaking jitters with the new Presenter Coach in PowerPoint for the web.  The Presenter Coach tool uses the power of artificial intelligence to give users real-time, on-screen feedback to improve public speaking skills, giving you tips on skills such as pacing and avoiding filler words like “um”.

OneNote updates

Microsoft has introduced a number of new features within OneNote that allow you to take your notes on the go and personalise your experience.  The Recent Notes feature helps you easily pick up where you left off on your device and view recently viewed or edited notes in chronological order.

Forms updates

Microsoft Forms now offers the option to create surveys in multiple languages to overcome any language barriers that may arise, and without the need to merge separate documents.  Multilingual support within Forms enables users to reach a broader audience and helps respondents to provide more in-depth feedback by displaying questions in their preferred language.
