An early assessment before the training to understand participants’ expectations and skill levels would be helpful to ensure everyone registers for the most appropriate course. I’m already proficient in the topics covered, but my manager assumed that “Advanced” is the highest level of Excel training and expected me to learn Macros — however, this topic isn’t included in the current course, and I should probably register 'master' class instead. Trainer is excellent and proficient with knowledge.
